Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?


The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?

Dette er en av mine favoritt julesanger. Det er herlig å stoppe opp og tenke over livene til menneskeskene vi blir kjent med i bibelen. Alt blir så stort når jeg gjør det. Jesu nåde i møte med disse menneskene. (og refs til fariseerne..) Peters etterfølgelse og fornektelse. Jesus som velger ham til tross for at han ikke har holdt ord. Gud ser hjertene våre. Han ser ønskene om å ære Ham med alt vi gjør. Samtidig svikter vi i nettopp dette.

Når jeg hører denne sangen stopper jeg opp litt. Hva tenkte Maria, den vanlige jenta, hvordan var situasjonen hennes? Forstod hun virkelig? Hun gjemte ordene i sitt hjerte, men kunne hun forstå?
